Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research to release 2023 Kinder Houston Area Survey May 15

Houstonians’ views on social issues and the biggest challenges facing the region will be revealed in the 2023 Kinder Houston Area Survey, which will be released at a sold-out luncheon May 15 at the Marriott Marquis Houston.

The 42nd annual survey will be presented by Ruth López Turley, director of the Kinder Institute. The event will also include brief remarks by leaders from Rice and the Houston community at large.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will be honored with the Stephen L. Klineberg Award. The award recognizes an individual who, like Klineberg, has made a lasting positive impact on the area. Klineberg is the institute’s founding director and creator of the survey.
